It was hard to say if the Cimex or the OP was better. I like both machines. I think in a large job the Cimex would be considerably faster. On the other hand I think the OP might be considered more manuverable. Pads don't need changing where you are constantly changing terry on
an OP. An OP can be used on residential and carried up stairs. Forget a Cimex on residential. I own a Cimex and don't have and OP but I will get one eventually. |

I have an o.p machine that is on wheels. Works great. Its just like a two wheel dolly going up and down stairs. As far as being limited to one cleaner is crazy.Since purchasing my o.p i have used my extracter 1 time. I had a church call me that had flooded. It does a good job af holding my thermas in the van. I really know that with a little research and the best chems that i dont need an extracter to clean carpets. There are tricks one needs to learn to do a perfect job on carpets. As with a truckmount. It just takes time. I would have to say that you can clean 99.9% of the carpet you come across with an o.p machine. I did put my o.p on a super small area rug and it kinda took me for a ride. My two cents worth. Thanks

Should we say more? ![]() [QUOTE=pilediver] It was hard to say if the Cimex or the OP was better. I like both machines. I think in a large job the Cimex would be considerably faster. On the other hand I think the OP might be considered more manuverable. Pads don't need changing where you are constantly changing terry on an OP. An OP can be used on residential and carried up stairs. Forget a Cimex on residential. I own a Cimex and don't have and OP but I will get one eventually.[/QUOTE My Accelerator cleans with Brute Force. A picture is worth a thousand words. Yes, the changing of pads is a pain in the a$$ and the washing is worse. But, how do you handle it when you Cimex and the customer asks "Where does the dirt go?" So now you explain 'Encap' and how do you expect the to believe you? With OP you say nothing...they see and have their answer. I am not knocking the Cimex. We also sell them. But as the old lady in the Wendy's commercial said "Where's the Beef?"..."Where's the Dirt?" I personally find the Brute - Accelerator very easy to maneuver and less fatiguing. I honestly feel productivity is about the same. The nice thing about OP and Cimex is the electrical cord. When in the way of the turning action it just gets tossed back out. Old timers know what happens to the cord on rotaries. Edited by Carpetologist - 20/March/2007 at 12:29am |

Ted you and I both know thats Bull ...where does the dirt go???? they aint asking that...I've used it on 3 commercial jobs and the only thing they have asked me is....when is it going to dry....and will it look this good when it dries.
one of the jobs was a health canada office...and they wheren't even there. most time in commercial they aint even there anyways. for the real busy commercial cleaner... 3 or 4 big jobs in a week could have you drowning in laundry....LOL there is a idea for you Ted..... charge a fee to pick up and wash soiled pads...big business they could call you the soiled pad guy...ooooooo ![]() while your washing pads...I'll be relaxing with my poly scrub and run machine Edited by MR.
