Most long weekends to me are a drag: no money! I can usually bump up my rate for a long weekend anyway, so it's GREAT money.

I've got no problem with working the weekday of a long weekend (I never
work Sundays), unless it's ANZAC day.  It's the Aussie version of
Memorial Day.  I don't know what the Canadian equivalent is.
Working that day is just plain disrespectful.  I'll work Queen's
Birthday or whatever without thinking twice about it.

I catch up w/ friends when I want, as many of them are self employed
& I see my family more now that I'm self employed then I ever did
working behind a desk.

My priorities ARE family: that's one reason I went out on my own.

	Why would anybody want their carpets cleaned on a long week end. We have lost our priorities. Every body should go away or stay home with the family and have a good time before school starts and life goes to second speed and the turmoil starts.

	sure splash.. I'd take some, but I'm in the same boat the phone never stops ringing.... people are calling for jobs on the long weekend... had to disappoint a few...

	Mr. Steamer: I certainly don't profess to be a master of anything. But it seems to be a title you feel rightly belongs to you. So do you know what? You can have it. I think it will make you 10 feet and bullet proof.
