I have tried it. Not impressed. Far too much flex in it due to the high plastic content. The Delrin glide on it does not work as well as teflon glides do as well. Definatly over-priced in relation to the performance it provides. You can buy 4 Superglide wands, that actually work well, for the price of just one of these.


Other than that, it is a great wand.

US Products is on the right track in terms of thinking aerodynamically with the Evolution wand design. I have always advocated we have to get away from the cheapest welded squirt and suck guess at design. Someone made one 40 years ago and 40 people copy cat'ed it.

Unfortunately this wand will not fly as 80% of carpet cleaners are looking for a wand with the lowest price tag.

That leaves us with a 20% market share for high-end wands.

Most people do not know that I was the inventor of the Stealth Tool design. This design got my head spinning to take the same technology to a wand until my tool was knocked-off and sold at a profit level that no longer allowed me the funds for research and development and I eventually lost interest.

I agree with Ted on the fact that about 80% of people are looking for the cheapest wand and glide combo. That is what I sell. Hard to beat a wand/glide that sells for under $200.

However, about 20% of the market is looking for a premium wand and glide. For them we sell a Titanium wand and glide.They cost over $1000, but deliver the very best performance and airflow you can get in a wand. You will be hearing more about these wands later in 2008.

Any solution that uses propietary parts is doomed for failure.  The assembly line was all about taking military rifles that would break down on the battlefield (not able to swap out parts from another) and guarantee that all parts from all rifles would be interchangeable with their counterpart.

I cannot take parts from a standard wand and swap them into the super duper bomb.  So it gonna bomb, fer sure fer sure.  Like Ted said, things have been pretty boring for the past 40 years but at least they have been consistent and keeping the learning curve down to a short rise.
