Picked up a 175 rpm rotary at a yard sale for $48. Probably older than
Jesus but it actually works. Think it's a 16". It's called a "multi
clean' floor and carpet machine.
Question is what is it good for? I already have low moisture system for carpts, thought perhaps this might be suitable for agitating the pre spray and/or cleaning concrete/tile/and or hardwood? Or is 175 rpm too slow for that? Machine appears to have some sort of wire brushes installed, then there is a steel wool pad 'laid' over them. The guy I bought it from said he just thows a cleaning or buffing pad against the steel wool pad for a friction fit. Different pads for stripping, polishing, etc. Should I look for a different type of brush, or is there another way of mounting the pad? Even if it turns out the machine is too antiquated for use in the field I'll probably screw around with it at home. Any suggestions on the above? |
