That was a monster of an op machine. would one of the smaller ones done the same job??

On residential, YES, on commerical, no, then the onboard spray system and the added weight really make it clean a lot faster. As far as slow, that was 100 square feet, count the minutes, and that is on trashed carpet.

 

on lightly soiled, this machine will beat MOST out there.

I like to spray out the carpet first with the cleaner and my prespays. If it was that bad looking i would put on a scrubber to break up the spots. Thengo over it with a wet bonnet finnished off by a dry one. It is much faster this way.
