Ken;
Sorry I am alittle late reading and replying to your latest comment: "The Recoil tests out to only 54 cfms with the wand working on the carpet......." Where the devil did you pick up this number btw because I call assure you that your number is dead wrong. Perhaps you just made a typing error? No disrespect. Good Fortune to all; Ed Valentine |

SGG has been known to make a few typing errors. As a matter of fact, I think he invented them

Ed, I consider you my friend, but I have been doing these tests long enough now(over 20 years now) to ever make an error in making them.But I will tell you that was the lowest number I ever saw on a Recoil 3. It was not tested with a Superglide on the wand either. In fairness to you, I believe the motors in it were a couple of years old as well, and sounded tired to me as well, so I am sure the reading was below what a fresh machine would do. That said, it says alot about how you design your machines that even a tired one can produce numbers this good for a portable. Ninjas only produce around 30-35 cfms Speedsters(1003 model) only produce around 45-50 cfms Olympus 3 vac models only produce 40-45 cfms Fact is most 4MP TMS only do around 100 cfms. Your machine and mine are the ONLY ones that can produce more than 60 cfms under use conditions. That is something to be proud of! |

After reading this post It would appear that after SGG's tests that the Recoil is only good for a couple of years than looses it's power. Not a good investment unless you are changing machines every couple of years?

Nope. The 5 vac machine is all 2 stage vacs. Only way to make it work on 2 cords.
