Hello, my name is Dennis and i have been cleaning for 3 years on my own. I was employed by Servicemaster for 2 years before i decided to go on my own. I hope to add some hints here as well as learn from you all.

Welcome Dennis. Since you got your training with Servicemaster, you are off to a good start. Ignore some of the negative posts here, and concentrate on learning what you can from the positive ones, and you will do fine.

Ken: You be sure to point out to Dennis which posts are negative - and which ones are positive+. I wouldn't want him to read about all your problems.

Welcome, Dennis.
This is a terrific board with some great Pro's who will give you the right answers and the facts too, to help build your business. What to do; AND what not to do.

Welcome Dennis, I would be interested in knowing how much you deviated from the Servicemaster system once you went out on your own. And was this a good move for you? Also, how do you think Servicemaster became one of the largest? |

Welcome Jim, You are the third person from Australia to join our forum. Nice to see the interest down under. Now what happened to surroundings? Hopefully he is on vacation. We miss him. |

Wow it seems a little rough in here. Thanks for the welcomes though. I dont have neer enough money to do yachting and there isn't many lakes big enough for a yacth here in WI.
I have tried to have a higher level of customer service in my business than the servicemaster franchise i was a tech for. It is hard getting work, but am much happier on my own.
SuperGlide Ken, I can see the negative posts you mention. Is this board that nasty, because i'm here to learn how to do things better and easier in my bus and if that is the usual stuff on the board i'll not be here long.
Off to clean a nice home and I hope I can sell some scotchguard.
Best wishes, DC |

Dennis: I don't know who you are referring to as being rough. Surely no me. Welcome to board. On this board everyone is just one big happy family. Except for Gomer and Diva they are the Gods of The Pad. If you want to know anything about op cleaning just ask them.

And if you like to know anything about being a NO TOOTH HAVING, MISERABLE, RED NECK, RETIRED OLD A**Hole Then please feel free to ask DOUG! the old fiddling fart! BTW Welcome to the board the rest of us really aren't so GRUMPY! Dennis we try to respect all cleaners and all mehtods of cleaning I just seem to have a problem with the GRAND DRAGON over there being fixated on me and my other half. PS. He's afraid of "newbies" and Im just curious how long it will take you to run him off the board! (or shall we say take a five minute Hiatus from this board and onto another) Oh and he does NOT answer questions. You'll find out soon enough Im sure! So if you are looking for some real cleaning convo THEN WELCOME! Edited by diva |
