got a question for you guys and gals. when branching out on your own is it harder to upsell on the scotchgard than say working for a name like sears? is it the name people trust or what? i am kinda thinking that it will be harder to upsell just because i wont use the sears name anyore. am i right? it is really an awesome feeling when a custy ASKS for the gard without you even trying. of course working for sears that is our main money maker is upselling. kinda sucks when you do a trashed out place and no upsell. sweat your 's off for crap dollar. so what do you think will it be harder to upsell? any famous selling lines you care to share?

Selling is selling. There is nothing hard about it. Selling starts with the first NO. Anything else is just order taking.

sell deo first at 50% of booked let that sit and soak in with the customer...
then sometime during the cleaning or after upsell the gard at 100% of booked and give the deo for free

first thing that comes to my mind is that i would always do some cleaning first and let them see how clean it's getting THEN ask "would you like to protect your carpet and keep it cleaner longer??" |

Then carrefully explain to them that it is going to take week for the carpet to dry because you just dumped half you chemical rack onto it??? so explain to them that they paid extra to have their carpets rapidly resoil becaues the deo and the gard just don't mix worth a s*it? But who cares nobody said you had to have any ethics when you start carpet cleaning?

Doug do you clean with your head up your ass?????
The disinfectant goes in with the pre-spray... of course you have to get something compatible.
There is no resoiling because you AHEM RINSE!
Then you spray your gard on... No resoiling
Up in GodURich tell those damn red necks to take there boots off after coming out of the cow pasture maybe it might slow down your resoiling problem..
Doug if you don't know what your talking about you might think about taking a few IICRC classes...lol

Steamer prey tell me just what in hell the disiinfectant does except make you money. It does absolutly nothing because it is not on the carpet long enough?? Do you wear ppe while applying this smelly water??? The only thing compatable here is your invoice with your debit machine??? Maybe I should make an attempt to attend a IICRC certification class??? Who knows what would happen then??

Use something like a Dettol the the hospitals use to use...and offical anti-septic
Let it soak in some dewl time. it's not hard your doing it with the pre-spray.
doug open your gawd damn mind, why do you always think with tunnel vision.
This stuff doesn't mask smells it neutralizes them.
Doug what ever works for you...in your one horse town.
jump into your GM van
drive 50 miles to a call
turn on your prochem 405
use your chemspec/prochem pre-spray
extract and leave.
don't sell anything
makes for a happy customer
but a sad you

Mr. Steamer the difference between the way I do business and the way you do business??? I see amd meet the people I do work for unlike you who probably don't even know your neigbour. I don't sell I reccommend if after reviewing and deciding on my clients needs then a dettermination is made as to what if anything is needed?
