This is part of the problem many of our lowballers ARE wearing the IICRC patch, but I have YET to be asked if I am certified. That could change come tomorrow, but I am not holding my breath.

Padman: The reality is some lowball companies send one person to a seminar and bingo they are now a certified firm and what can you do? They advertise just like you and me to the same consumer.

If you see a company advertising IICRC certification you can call the IICRC and they will verify. I have called on behalf of people before. Being an IICRC Regional Supervisor I usually try to keep an eye around here.
