I am having a problem with commercial glue down carpets, unlike my residential jobs, i am getting more than double the foam and suds, i have to dump the recovery tank before it's half full. I don't want to kill my motors, Recommendations on chemicals or processes?

Jared;

That is a very EASY situation to solve. And, unlike the norm, we recommend (as Tmac has) something totally different & UNIQUE and EFFICIENT.

Good Fortune to all;

Ed Valentine

Thanks John L, Ed, and TMac for your useful comments. And thanks Dennis for your usual drunken posts involving little or no thought and even less intelligence.

I'll be in touch Ed, been using the prespray that i bought from you, almost out though. I may reorder with some anitfoam.

Whatever jarwad...

I gave you a direct and correct answer to your question and I get that from you....but then again a question like that takes little thought to answer and not much inteligence either.

BUT, you do prove that there are no stupid questions, but there are many inquisitive idiots!

i wasn't looking for sarcasm, the topic of the thread was specifically stating that i was looking for a "anti-foam chemical", seems pretty simple. Dennis is a little upset about the whole SGK issue and following me around, so i'm trying to make his life interesting also, that's all.

Any recommednations on brands of defoamers Mr. Steamer? I would appreciate any input or experiences.

You are always ready to provide substantial amounts of experience and professionalism in all of your postings, that's what i like about you.

What kind of defoamers would you recommend? (to get back on track) Surprise me, give me some useful information, i'm dying to know if you actually clean carpets or just invade threads.

I have Chemspec Crystal Defoamer on my truck right now.  I have never used another brand, so I can't compare, however it seems to work just fine.  I don't use it very often.

You happy now, jarwad DePOG?

JaredW

I havnt had much need for a defoamer, they all do pretty much the same job and like everything in CC there is a huge variant in prices.

If ever your caught and are in need of some defoamer while out doing a job, some light sewing machine oil will do the trick for you.

Mick
