I just dumped about fifty. I hate doing it, but I needed my carport.

S.C. Johnson came up with a great idea a few years back. They package their 18.9L of floor finishes, detergents, etc in a bag in box. Throw out the bag and recycle the box. Some of the CC chemical manufacturers should follow.

Way less plastic than a pail.

Dupont tried it years ago

and nobody was buying it

I've got 30 gals of some old Dupont prespray downstairs in bags that I got for $60 (well actually bardered with local supplier)

old but works good

not the safest stuff in the world

I don't care what it comes in really, but I agree the bags don't take up as many garbage bags as the 1gal jugs or 5gal pales

Of course we have curbside recycling. In our city, it's for residential only. Businesses must bring theirs to the depot at the landfill site.

cmaster the shame of recycling in our business area is there is none. You can through out what ever you want. I once asked if we could have recycling and they did it on a trial run and felt it wasn't worth it. I can't believe the amount of plastic and cardboard I throw out and they say it's not worth the expense.

I've heard that it can be profitable for private companies if they can get enough businesses to participate in a program. The problems seem to be convincing enough companies to participate.

They do have a product that comes concentrated in a little plastic pak. I think it is called Enviro Pak.  I thought it was a great idea, no jugs just open a pak and put it into the water. There small enough to fit in your front pocket but it didn't take off.

Airkem makes A125 in a water soluble pack. They also make several other products the same way.
