I try to clean green but honestly I hear

"bring some real strong chemicals" alot more than I hear

"bring some real safe chemicals"

I'd say 90% or more of my customers could care less what I use

Ralph Pastorelli(Suction), you go too far! By insulting Don, Doug and Steamer all in one morning and telling them to leave this board, it is you that has proven that you don't deserve to be here. If these other gentleman abstain from posting as long as you are around here, I will do the same too.

Here I go again-----" having a battle of wits with an unarmed person"

Steamer kiss my DFC Bottle, it is so safe it does not need to list ingredients, and I could care less if you ever use it or even try it----Have a great day and you should thank those cleaners that have survived for many years, and made it soooooooooo easy for people like you to  even survive in this business.

For four posts you talk to yourself Steamer?

Yes Don, just trying to get into another topic is all.

For those that do not clean green, that is fine, our largest accounts DEMAND it and tip thier hat to VLM instead of HWE because of it.

I thought it was pretty obvious, Steamer that I am in favour of safer chems primarily for us CC'ers that have the most exposure but also for our customers and our planet.

I'm sure you don't spray solvents around and that you would agree that Butyls were very effective but probably don't use them.

Old Dylan song, Steamer about how change is so scary to some folks.

Don has made more mistakes than most of us and that is why I pay attention to his views but don't always agree. Just keep an open mind, watch and learn. Lets face it when we all first heard about encapping or about Padding it all seemed absurd, keep an open mind.

cleanex... actually I don't think DFC cleaning is going to help you or hurt you....  I'm sure if you mention it to your existing customers, they won't want to pay more for it. They'll say just use the stuff that you've been using all the other times...

I think it's the cleaner thats going to have to eat the DFC costs, but one will do it because of their own personal health...and also knowing it's truly safe for the customers..

it's doesn't sound real if you try and up the price and get more money per sq ft... it's sounds like an excuse to raise your price..

if your doing the right thing DO IT... don't charge for it

Steamer, you can stay in the box, or you can look outside of the box.

We have always tried to be on the leading edge of this business and we have been very successful over the past 38 years by taking this approach to our business.

No doubt you can succeed by staying status quo, and many cleaners will do so, but that only makes it easier for me when I quote against that type of competition.

Our biggest account makes us prove what is in the bottle so don't think that the day is not coming when it will not be a big issue.

All I can say is be prepared, you may never need to prove what chemicals you use, and I hope for all carpet cleaners sake they never need to do so, but God help you if it ever happens.

Steamer I am sure that you carry MSDS sheets in your truck for all chemicals, and they up to date-----RIGHT>
