General Lee can't decide what Bacon to buy because we all know there are different Pigs for different Companies

General Lee doesn't buy a Sears Washer & Dryer.....he buys a Whirlpool, the same company that makes the Sears model with all the same operational parts but charge $ 300.00 more for the nametag Whirlpool

No Lee .....Chocolate Milk does not come from Brown Cows

Lee only buys Green Giant Corn because they are called Nibblets.....the No Name corn comes from some Hack Farmer out in the bush somewhere ( little secret.....it's the same farmers field, except it's his midget brother that picks that corn to lower the price )

General Lee only buys Intel computer parts.....because it's faster than the others.....how faster you ask, well let's see 1,000,000,000 of a nano second seems about right, how many things can you do in a nano second

Did you know that if you cook meat in a pressure cooker, all meat is equal in tenderness and taste, I say this Lee in case you think one super-markets meat is better than the other.

Milk is something like chemicals, 3.25%...2%...1%...Skim Milk..........just add more water, charge afew pennies less and there you go..........a different product ( Chemical companies don't do that .....do they General Lee )

Anyway, I can't think of any more right now, maybe some of you out there can keep this going..........How about you General Lee , do you know any

Nightrider you act as if you invented the idea of using Tide.
When I was young and naive I used it for a long time.
I happen to know the reasons why not to use it.
So if you are so poor that you need to save $30.00 a week by using Tide go ahead.
But to try personaaly attack me for warning people to use properly formualted chemistry well it shows where you come from .

I think we will stick with what we are using. The word Tide and Carpets do not belong in the same sentence!!!!!!

The formulation of " Tide " is not the same as the old days Lee , in another post I posted the formula of Enz-all.....The formula of  " Tide " is almost the same ( the extras in Tide is mostly perfume, and brighteners.....the brighteners only affect white fabric )

It is not a saving of 30.00/week ( more like 150.00/week average ) all depends how much carpet you clean, in my case I have daily touch ups every night on all my contracts.....for me it adds up alot, I have a Zellers store where we clean that dam carpet in sections every single night in different departments, just Zellers saves me at least 200.00/week

You listed the ingredients. Thats it. Ingredients don't equal a recipe.

BUT I'LL TELL YOU WHAT PISSES ME OFF THE MOST.
YOU COME ON A BULLETIN BOARD OF A DEAR FRIEND OF MINE. THE PURPOSE OF THE BULLETIN BOARD IS TO ENCOURAGE BUSINESS.
THEN SOME FRIGGIN MORON COMES ALONG ON THE BULLETIN BOARD AND STARTS TELLING EVERYONE NOT TO BUY THE PRODUCTS THE OWNER OF THE BULLETIN BOARD SELLS BUT TO USE SOMETHING ELSE.
THAT MAKES YOU A FRIGGIN JERK NIGHTRIDER.
THERE ARE A MILLION OTHER BULLETIN BOARDS TO SCREW AROUND ON. I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU ARE OUT TO HURT TED BUT I WON'T SIT BY AND WATCH.

It is a shady business all around from the people who do the cleaning ...right down to the companies that make the chemicals.

Yes this is Ted's forum and yes he does sell chemicals, but he has allowed us to speak freely...and if he wanted Jacks crap to come down he would have pulled it himself.

Ted has a lot of inexpensive chemicals in his store...if there is a demand for it....maybe he should sell  laundry detergent too..LOL

honestly most of the people who claim to know what they are doing have no idea...it's not only about chemicals....  you have to know what kind of material your working with... you have to know about all your equipment...

WHAT PISSES ME OFF ARE PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT WILLING TO OPEN THEIR MINDS TO OTHER POSSIBILITIES.

trust me if you know what you are doing you can almost use any soap with the right dilution even palmolive...LOL

have we ever talked about the cleaning power of just plain water??Wink

You guys are full of it..  Back in the early 70's we used all that crappy soap to clean carpets,  and all we did was create problems that required re-cleans. If you think to day's detergents are garbage than don't use them. You can go back to the 70's, but not this guy I love the results we get and I really love no call backs.

cleanex.... I wouldn't expect you to say anything eles...

you know one thing and one thing only.... what is written on the side of the carpet chemical you are using.

you have no clue as to the make up or formulation of the solution... you just use it blindly like the sheep you are..

Have you ever been to a chemical lab and had the solution you are using broken down???

I doubt it...

I have! and a lot of the products out there are just regular laundry detergents.....with a higher percentage of chemical concentration based on what they want to get cleaned...bases on the amout of sud...based on smell even..

if you can't clean with something as basic as laundry detergent...then you shouldn't be cleaning at all

there are alot of carpet cleaning chemicals which can cause way more damage than basic laundry detergent...

soap is only one part of the equation... you have to first know HOW TO CLEAN!

There is Very little to NO RESIDUE if you pre-spray and rinse properly...No more or no less than a chemspec...or prochem

if you get call backs using tide...you'll get call backs using anything...fabric is fabric

But Steamer you do know how to clean.
You are intelligent enough to use little enough soap and enough water flow to rinse it.
I am the guy who has to go in and inspect the carpet when a claim has been made to the manufacturer and then fail it for maintenance related issues.
One of the primary problems is cleaners cleaning with their own concoctions and throwing the kitchen sink at it.
The worst cases usually involve apartment corridors that have a ton of air pollution brought in by their air handling systems. A properly formulated CRI SOA aprroved chemical that has been tested and  been proven not to cause colour loss or discolouration is not going to cause such problems. But we see this all the time, why?
In my experience the worst carpets to deal with for this problem are from Ege in Finland. So there are many other factors to consider when using cleaning solutions. If you do screw up a carpet like this usually your insurance does not cover such a loss.
And the guys who screwed up the carpets?? They aren't out bragging about it!
