client makes you more miserable than happy, then it’s time to break up the relationship. But what if you’re concerned about the income from the client? Does it pay when the client causes you much grief and stress? That can affect your health, which means spending money on medicine and doctor’s appointments.

Think of how much work you’d finish if you enjoy working with every client. Maybe you’d be able to add a few more for every deadweight client. The time and energy you spend with a difficult client may be enough that you can replace the person with two or three new clients.

Besides, any good business knows it must regularly market the business. A bsiness should be able to replace a fired or dropped client in a short time. So how do you fire the client? Here are 10 ways to fire the client from hell. The article looks at different types of clients and how to get out of the situation.

1. The bargain shopper: As a general rule, the client who pays the least will expect the most. The words "I need this done cheap" should strike fear in your heart, not because of profit margins, but because this client will nickel-and-dime you within an inch of your life for extra work, support and other nuisances that were not in the original scope.

How to get out: This one's simple: Raise your rates, if only for this particular client. The bargain shopper will move on to the next firm that offers a better price, as he's concerned only with the bottom line, not the value of your work.

The worst situation is commercial carpet where you have two managers making the decision and one wants the cheapest and the other wants quality. If you're in a situation where you can't reason with them, you get rejected before the job or hammered after.

I have found needles, crack pipes, weed, burnt spoons, candles, wax everywhere, etc...  I do commercial hotel/motel cleaning though.  The monthly and weeklys are the worst. full of welfare crackheads.
