Sure is... But still alot more than a porty.. And all i have to do is turn up the rpm's... I wouldn't run no more than 100' on a porty... Then all them dry strokes you have to do on some carpet.. OR fans.. OR post pad....

Yep, to a point anyway. 2 work better than 1. 3 works better than 2. After that you need to put them in a combination of series and parallel placement to increase cfm at the wand. Our portables use either 4 vacs or 5 vacs.

The 4 vac machines use 2 vacs in series, that are placed in parallel with 2 more vacs in series. The result is high lift combined with high cfm at the wand; which is where it counts.Been making them this way since 2002.They are the most powerful portables in the USA.

The Pelican is a good unit but it does have a couple of problems with it:

1) Underpowered- Only 85"WL from it's 4 - 2stage vac motors. Our Optima gets 140"WL from it's 4 -3 stage motors. Pelican gets 280 cfm from it's motors; Optima gets 404 cfm from it's motors while in TM mode.

2)Weak Pump- 150 PSI is a joke. Our Optima has a 450 PSI Pump

3)No Auto fill/Pumpout on the Pelican. Optima has this standard.

4) Too heavy- Pelican's heavy fibreglass shell pushes the weight of this machine close to 200 lbs.Try lifting that without a ramp.Ours is much lighter, only around 120 lbs. Most will not need a ramp to use it.

Other than that, the Pelican is great!

This is the standard Optima TM.

John:

I understand that.

Ed and I have abit of a problem with that I guess. As 2 of the leading innovators in product design, both of us have had many ideas and designs copied by others over the years. Even though most of those copies are not as good as our original ideas or products, the copiers put out cheaper copies and steal market share from us, with no compensation. I am sure Ed would agree with me on that point.

So you can't really blame us for not wanting to show too much detail to our would-be copiers. We both know that these copiers would steal our best ideas on design in a heartbeat if given the chance to do so.

The insides of my Titans will be shown in detail this September on this board, at the same time a few thousand cleaners at Connections in Vegas will get to see, touch, and demo this unit there.

The chance of me having viral pnemonia at the same time this year, like happened to me last year is very remote Paul. I wanted to be there last year, but was physically unable to make it. I am going to make sure I stay healthy this year so my plans do not change. I have alot of money riding on being at this year's show.

Oh yes it is John. Most other manufacturers only have 2 vac motors in their machines. They wouldn't know how to fit 4 of them in there if their lives depended on it. LOL

But beyond that, there is not even one of them that know how to run even 3 -3 stage motors and a 450 psi pump on 2 cords(110 volts) without tripping breakers, never mind being able to do it on 4! I do. Because of that, I have had people put up by the other manufacturers who are sent to purchase my machines from my site.I cancel their sale when I find out about it.There is an intense effect for some of them to get my machine so they can learn how i do it. That is why all purchasers from the USA have been my Cleaner's Club members so far. I know who i am selling to.

There is 6 months till I show everyone what I got at Connections. Only people going to get a machine before then are those that I already know who they are. The rest will have to wait.
