If I was selling you an OP I would sell you a Cimex.
Who needs or wants stinky smelly pads in their truck? I hate doing laundry
Lol Splash and Dash, why should you care about quality or removing soil? What a joke!

kysweet,
Have a demo of both systems on the same carpet and level of soil and the visual soil on the OP pad will be staggering as opposed to the poly pads on the Cimex.
Explanations and talk is cheap. Do the visual demo and see for yourself.
Your decision should be:
Do you wand if easier for you? Or more soil removal for you client?
The soil absorbancy power of the cotton pad is awesome, but rewashing them is a chore that many detest. Both systems are considered Encapping as long as Encap products are being used.
Good Luck! ![]() Edited by Carpetologist - 23/January/2008 at 4:13pm |

THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY. I USED THE CIMEX THIS WEEKEND AT A 5,000 SQ. FT. DOCTORS OFFICE THAT I USUALLY STEAM CLEAN. I WAS ABLE TO CLEAN ALL OF THE CARPET IN ABOUT 2.5 HOURS VERSUS ROUGHLY 7 TO 8 HOURS WITH MY TM. I WENT BACK TODAY TO SEE HOW THEY LOOKED DRY AND I WAS BLOWN AWAY WITH HOW CLEAN THEY WERE. I AM A TRUE FAN OF THE CIMEX NOW AND WILL USE THE TM AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE. I WOULD LIKE TO TRY A GOOD OP TO COMPAIR, IF I CAN GET ONE SOON I WILL INFORM EVERYONE ON THE RESULTS.

Kysweet:
The cimex does a great job of encapping but only encapping, the idea of using an OP machine is so you not only use the encap product but you do two methods in ONE process.
The pads pick up the bulk of the soil, this allows the encap product to only work on the minimum amount of soil. Hence you can REMOVE the traffic lanes and nasty areas and everything will be even and much better looking.

This is a question for anyone who, can give me a educated answer on the cimex vs. op. I recently bought a cimex and I am using the fiber max pads, (grey ones). If you were trying to sell me a op machine how would you convince me that it doese a better job then a cimex. Keep in mind my cimex is strictly for my commecial accounts, I still use my tm for tile/grout, and residential carpet. I would also like to rid myself of the tm because of the hassle but have not anything that can compare for tile/grout or residential carpet. |
