I strip it , seal it 2 to 3 coats 2 to 3 wax and like glass.
I use shineline products. As said like glass. I have use a high speed just to fuse wax using a hoghair pad. After you need to dustmop and lightmop it! As far as I am concerned waste of time using high speed. Just strip using tm to extract then do light mop with a nuetralizer and start waxing & sealing. Got Glass ! |

Put down more coats of wax (4-5)
and dont wait 5 months for the maintenance. Thats why its dull looking..
You should be buffing that out every
2 months if you want that shine to always shine.
I use taski products when buffing.. Good stuff..

I guess I should have come back here and posted my new found results with my burnisher. I played around with the same product I mentioned called "Restore N More" but I spray it on with regular spray bottle. Light misting in small controlled areas and I started to get the desired results. I also tried a product called "Snap Back" and the worked well, but I really believe you need to experiment a little and watch what you're doing. I did scratch the polish a little while I was atempting to learn, so be careful but don't be afraid to mess up as long as you're willing to fix your mistake. I'm sure you can find a few different products that will all help in restoring the shine, but it really comes down to the person who's doing the job. Not sure if this helps you, but let me know what works for you.

I am having a similar problem with vct floor in a restaurant. The floor dulls fast. Within the first month. I use a neutral cleaner and mop with clean mops and water. I was also thinking about buying a burnisher to eliminate that problem but now I not sure how to fix the problem. Anyone have any ideas.

Two coats of AcrySeal floor sealer and 3 coats of Interplex 25 Metal interlocking polish. It's a high gloss polish that looks great when it's applied and the desired look stays without burnishing for a few months. But I have some customers that asked me if I "make the floors shine" like they were just done. That's why I bought the machine. I have used a white pad on my 175rpm to "top scrub" the floor and then water mop it a couple times, let dry, then applied a new coat of Interplex25, but I was hoping to save time and polish with a high speed buff. I love using Interplex because of how it looks when I'm finished with a job (deep wet look) but after about 4 to 5 months in a resturant they do start to dull again. I expect that to happen when all they do is mop when they close, and I know they don't mop them correctly so dirt is a factor in the dulling process. I was just hoping to expand my services a bit with this new machine.

try jackaroo or jackaroo lite pad. you might not have the correct floor finish on there to get the best results with burnishing.
do you what finish is on the floor and how many coats?

I recently bought a 1500 koblentz buffer so I can restore that nice high gloss shine for my VCT customers, but I must be doing something wrong. Instead of bringing back the shine it looks like I'm just making them dull. This is not good. Please tell me what I did/doing wrong. I'm using a product called Restore 'N More. I'm mixing it with water according to the directions, I'm applying with a rayon mop to a small area but it's still not doing what I hoped it would do. I really do think it's human error but I need someone to breakdown the process for me. Thanks to any and all who can lend some wisdom and advice.
