 since wool was the original carpet and synthetics had not been invented yet a simple animal fat soap was likely the first carpet cleaning agent (saddle soap ) Good luck

  I was the teachers worst enemy...............and...............just a pain in the ass smart alec..........................I was in grade 7 and reading Quantum Physics books instead of comics
