i don't think there's anything wrong with padmans questions, the answer is no padman. but if i came across a carpet i thought i could damage, i would tell the client my concerns and let them make the call.
nothing is impossable. it just hasn't been done yet.

Mr.Padman: Your line of questioining.  Where are you heading?  Are you insinuating since everyone doesn't clean with a diaper they are scared to clean a carpet or are they just plain ruining them?  Did you everything that Canadian cleaners have ethic to?  There are multiple reasons for not cleaning a carpet.  With your line of questioning I don't think I have to list them.Just my opinion.Guitar

I guess my question would be, have you ever walked BECAUSE you were afraid of ruining a carpet?

Did you ever walk because you felt you couldn't clean a carpet?

Have you ever ruined a carpet?

Have you ruined one and NOT told the customer?

WHY did the carpet scare you or how did you ruin it?

Excellent question Steamer.

Now these are the calls I get all the time from a carpet cleaner at the house that is in serious trouble and are panicking.  It might not be that serious to us but to him it is.

Sometimes I can help but most times I would have to get the Man on a three way telephone call   and it never seems to amaze me that  Ted has an answer for everything.

I have even seem him go straight to the customers house because even he couldn't figure out what the carpet cleaner was involved in.

Talk about customer service.

Mr. Steamer: After you qualify the job with the owner of the carpet and justify your reasoning why would any knowledgable professional attempt to bluff their way threw?  If you give them your opinion based on your experience and they don't like it. So what?  You certainly I hope would walk.  There is always someone not a smart as you who will attempt to clean it.  They may get lucky, but on the other hand you and I both know there are  people are out there looking for someone else to replace their carpet.  Just my opinionGuitar

It's been said through out this whole forum, that real carpet cleaners move furniture...pad and bloock...get every single stain out....do the burn test to identify the carpet type......

But have you ever gotten to a call where you know if you clean it...you could possible wreck it....Do you walk? or do you stay and bluff your way through because you need the money????

Lot of the cleaners here can clean everything...but is it always wise to??
