Hi,
Here is a question... Let's say I gave you 2000 sq ft of space, boiling hot water, and maybe a rugbadger. You have to clean 5o cheap polypropolyne type area rugs a day at least. You need to dry them in that space too. You can't use chemicals, just hot water.
A, What type of portable would you use? Brand..
B, How much PSI, and lift?
C, What kind of wand ?
It is an honest question, and a lot to consider. The unit should have enough lift to help with the drying, the wand should be good so you get it done faster, and don't kill yourself... All things to consider.
I look forward to your thoughts.
Mrbreeze
PS, You only get $ 8 a rug.

50 rugs vcuum--clean--hang to dry--take down-- most likely some will need recleaned--roll up -- start over again.   $400.00  sounds like a long--hard day to me. All this with a portable--better get a Steamin Demon
