I started a Google ad words campaign this month and was very skeptical about the results. Well as time went on i got no results from using the services. I usually pass out at least 100 fliers each day in my area and I got one hit from doing so. Big smile So I'm still wondering about Google ad words but then two nights ago i get a phone call from a prospect and he made an appointment for the next day, which was yesterday. So I went out to his home and cleaned the carpet from his rental apt upstairs, four rooms to be exact. When all was said and done, he was so amazed by the results of the portable unit i have (and so was i) that he was already talking about our next appointment. That was a very exciting moment for me. I used to work for an established carpet cleaning company and i can honestly say that it definitely matches up with a truck mount any day of the week. So anyone looking for equipment to start out with, I recommend using a great portable extractor, it can do the job.

If I had to go back to portables as my every day cleaning machine I would pack it in a heartbeat. There is no way day in and day out that a portable or any other cleaning method is better than a truckmounted unit..........

I have been using a portable for a year and its doing great. After a couple months you get really good at it. Porty vs. Truckmount is a classic debate. Which does a better job? Its 90% technician and 10% equipment.

That's quickly changing when you have a portable like a Recoil or a Titan!

These are powerful portables that will run from your van...you can compete with any TM by simply adding a generator.
Above all....BE PROFESSIONAL!!!

I heard about you from the following:

A. I am a previous client
 B. Saw the ad in a newspaper
C.   Was referred by a friend
       Name of Friend ________________________
D.  Received a letter
E.  Other____________________

Dear Client,

I hope you are fabulously thrilled with our services. If there is some reason you are not, please let me know now so it can be corrected!

If you are happy, I’d like to ask you a simple favor:

As you probably know, advertising is very expensive. Instead of paying the newspaper or other place to advertise, I’d rather pay you. So if you could take a few minutes to jot down 5 or 6 friends or relatives who would love our service too, I’ll reward you.

For every referral you give me that becomes a client, I’ll give you $10.00 in cash or 10% off your next cleaning. It’s that simple, and frankly I’d much rather pay you than the advertising media. Remember---your referrals will be offered a free Carpet Inspection and estimate. They will learn valuable information about their carpet whether or not they use us at all. And remember---they are not under any obligation to use our services even if they get the Free Carpet Inspection. You could get up to $60.00.

i have been using a porty for sometime now with a rotovac dhx, and i my customers have also been amazed at the job it has done. so don't listen to the "tm" pro's that do nothing but talk crap about us using a porty. all that matter is satisfying your customer. and if they are happy, your happy!!!

You should be able to analyze your Google Adwords account.  It seems you are paying someone else to do it for you.  End that arrangement.  Operating your own campaigns is simple.

For my cleaning service, I geographically target adwords to my service area, and supply static graphics to online newspapers, accuweather, weather channel in other campaigns.  My business offers different services, and each category of keywords has it own mini-campaign.  Int he time I wrote this aprt, I went to the website bookmark, viewed the summary of my campaigns, impression, click, and click through rates, and adjusted bigs for 4-6 keywords base don their average position in the sponsored links listings.

You will know if adwords is working by the number of impressions you are making.  And your adwords will only be as good as your bids and the keyword relevancy to your selected landing page for the keyword's campaign.

Also set up Google's analytics and pay attention to keywords with high bounce rates (they go to you landing page, and leave, without clicking to a new page)  You either have a poorly optimized page, or the viewers are not finding the imformation they want to find.

If your awstats or webalizer is working on your site, go into your control panel.  You want to see if your efforts are generating increased traffic, right?
