Expensive. Dry cleaning is costly to do and has a limited effect. One of the local suppliers had one for $1400 Canadian with 24 hours on it. By a regular extractor so you can do carpets as well, because the above mentioned machines don't have enough UUUUMMMPPPHHH to clean carpet. Wanna buy my PBIII Ultimate?

Only if you take the Ultimate at twice the price. I like the higher temps for cleaning and find the vac adequate, but I just got a deal on a Cross American mitey one and like it a lot. I hate cleaning upholstery.  The machine has yet to have been used for dry cleaning.

Yea but you can clean ceilings with them,  can you do that with a standard portable?      ANd how often are celular shades, or other window treatments that dirty anyway.   with routine matince thistype of cleaning would be ideal.   least harmfull and you can gurentee they wont be damaged.     as far as power for carpet cleaning,  depending on wich machine you are lookiing at 40-300psi.   with 210 degree soultion temps.   Sounds pretty impressive to me.   im not looking to do carpet with it anyway.   upholstry,  window treatments,   spoting,   possibly ceilings,  Im not affraid of the price.   I will have a edge on all the other cleaners.   We are in the market to impress right!

Fastone I have a Ultimate, which I still use.  I have a Kleenrite 214 recirculating machine with both upholstery and drapery tool I call surplus. I don't know when it was used last.  It just sat on the truck.  I finially took it off and put under the bench in my shop.Guitar

I now have been cleaning with a 25 year cleaning company and no longer want  to dri clean.    B/c   I  now know that dri clean is not clean.    so nevermind what i mentioned about wanting one of these units.

Fastone it is not the fact that drycleaning does not clean it is knowing when you have to use it.  More and more fabrics are now wet cleanable. But these machines do more that just dryclean.  They are a little more versatile as you can put solvents threw them.
