Well I charge 12.99 a room for standard clean

Extra clean pre spray rake in dwell 15 cents extra sq ft

Super clean Pre spray rake in rotary scrub and super rinse

Is 12.99 a room and 35 cents a sq foot.

And then if they want the carpet dri in 5 minutes

I charge 1 dollar a sq foot on top of the 12.99 a room price.

Yes, but if there was a naked chick laying on that carpet, the buck a foot would be a bargain.

I agree. Charge whatever the market in your town can bear. People used to tell me people in Calgary wont pay .50 or more per foot. I am glad I never listened.

So true, CREATE your own market, do NOT depend at ALL on what your competitors are charging, create the NEED and VALUE of YOUR service.

Some people that are just starting out have to charge a little less, just to get some business until you get your name out there, even if you know you are worth more than the guy that is charging more.

The biggest mistake people getting into the business make is charging to  little for their service, once you have a customer used to a certain price for your service they will drop you real quick when you double the price so you can make a dime for your service.

Keep track of your costs to operate your business, everybody has different costs associated with their business, if you work out your house vs. someone who rents a shop, has a girl working the office etc. etc.

I would never post how much I charge, nor never give advice on what you should charge, most of the stuff I read on other boards is a bunch of crap when they post how much they charge, and how many sq. ft. they can do in an hour.

I don't believe you get what you pay for..... It all depends on the individual

I like to do a great job no matter the price...

There are people that charge more...but still can't do what I do... there are people that charge less...and still can't do what I do...
