Couch fabrics easily get dirty due to the dust and grimes. The most difficult situation is when this couch gets the stains due to the wine and other drinks. Let us discuss how to remove the wine stains from the carpets and couch.
A few tips on how to provide first aid to the couch and carpets:
* treat the stains as quickly as you can.
* Use the light colored cloth and blot up the wine as much as possible.
After this flush the carpets with the cold water. Rub the baking soda powder on the stains and again wash it with the cold water.
For the stubborn stains and dust, use the dry and steam cleaning technique for the removal of the wine and stubborn stains.

The best technique for removing wine stains from carpet depends on whether the stain is fresh or dried. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

For Fresh Wine Stains:

  1. Blot Immediately – Use a clean, dry cloth or paper towel to blot (not rub) as much of the wine as possible. Work from the outside in to prevent spreading.
  2. Apply Club Soda – Pour club soda over the stain and continue blotting. The carbonation helps lift the stain.
  3. Use a Vinegar Solution – Mix 1 tablespoon of dish soap, 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, and 2 cups of warm water. Dab the solution onto the stain with a cloth.
  4. Blot with Cold Water – Use a fresh damp cloth to blot and remove any residue.

For Dried Wine Stains:

  1. Rehydrate with Warm Water – Lightly dampen the stain with warm water to loosen the dried wine.
  2. Apply Baking Soda Paste – Mix 1 part baking soda with 3 parts water and apply to the stain. Let it sit for 15–20 minutes before blotting.
  3. Hydrogen Peroxide & Dish Soap – Mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide and dish soap. Apply, let sit for 10–15 minutes, then blot and rinse.
  4. Steam Cleaning (For Tough Stains) – A professional steam cleaner can help extract deep-set stains.

If the stain persists, a professional carpet cleaning may be necessary.
