Welcome!

I have been to your town. Very nice area.

This is a great business if you get educated well in it. Customer needs to feel that they are dealing with an expert(even if they are not). Get the best tools and cleaning technology you can and stay current with what is out there.

Marketing to your customers is even more important that pushing the wand or rotary on the job. I heavily recommend you get the courses taught by Howard Partridge as soon as you are able. He will teach you the systems and pricing you need to implement for maximum success in this industry.:)

Thanks for the tips. I am trying to stay on my education, (currently certified as CCT and OCT with the IICRC) but the nearest school/supply/service place is 3+ hours away so I really try to read ALOT and stay within my means. I am currently focusing on "green" products and have both Axiom and Procyon on hand. Besides the tools, it IS the techniques that 30+ yrs in the industry will give you. So I am always quick to sit down shut up and listen, whenever a "senior" member has something to offer. I am really enjoying the field and multitude of sectors availible for us all to succeed. Thanks for your heads up, I will be reading alot here over the next couple of weeks, so I look forward to your tips! Thanks again!

AXIOM is great stuff.  It did well for me when I did HWE.

Now for the $65 question:  One or two finger poi?

Welcome aboard!

It seems like you have a good head on your shoulders and probably not a lot of competition in your area (guessing). Just stay in the game and you'll build a good client base eventually.

By the way, I had some bad experiences with Procyon. It cleans well, but you may notice a warning on the bottle that it will eat away at pretty much anything if isn't rinsed off. It's easy enough to work with, but it ate up the trucks on my RX-20 head. I didn't know the cause. My supplier told me about it. Since discontinuing use, this and some other similar issues have gone away.

I either go to Portland, Medford or shop online at jondon.com and vacaway.com
We have no sales tax up here so .... just saying it's a nice place to visit.
