I am looking into using "green" products and have run across Code Green from http://www.cleancraft.com - www.cleancraft.com  that seems to be a pretty nice product.  Has anyone had any experience with this?  Or would anyone reccommend another product instead?  I will be using a Ninja Warrior 500psi with heat.  Thanks again, any advice would be greatly appreciatted!

Just wondering if you are doing Res or Com. Looked at the Warrior myself and definetly too big for Res. for me. As for Green products out there you can take your pick. I'm using Axiom and it works fine but I've found most people don't care what you clean with other than the fact that you get their carpet clean. In other words this Green Clean hype is exactly that. People want their carpets cleaned for the least cash they can part with. Most I deal with could care less if it is Green or black. I started out thinking like you but now I've changed my tune. Now I go with whatever works best. Love Green but ???

happy cleaning

Rick007.....What a breath of fresh air you are.....I've been saying that for years.....when it comes down to cash  vs  Green..........Cash always win.

All these demonstrators that cause trouble about the climate talks and wave their posters so that it might make the 6 o'clock news are a bunch of uneducated plants put their by the so called scientific society.....I'm sure if the government said.....alright in the name of science and climate controll we have to deduct 30 dollars from each paychecque.....they would change their banners real quick.

I have a contract for janitorial daily maintenance for an air qualiyty company and they have a list of all my products containing Butly and others nasties and they don't give a crap.....as long as the place gets clean.

I plan to be doing residential and some commercial...I have a few small commercial jobs that I have been told I could have once I get up in operation.  I can definately see your guys' points as far as people not caring as long as their carpets are clean... Unfortunately I have been spending the last couple of months talking with various business owners about the green cleaning, and actually have formed a great relationship with a local realty company that will reccommend all business to me once I am ready to get going.  I guess what I could do is market "green" and if I have any trouble I could use an alternative chemical?? Rick you had said that the Warrior was too big for residential for you?...what did you end up going with?  You guys tell me, you're the pros im just the joe here trying to obsorb some of this.  Clean Craft also offers an Eclipse porty, looks like a nice machine...plus the distribution center is located about 45 minutes from me.  I have been told to make sure whatever I go with make sure I get a 500psi with heat, how important is the waterlift as the warrior has 150'' compared to the Eclipse at 249'' of lift.  Thanks a ton guys!

P.S.  Nightrider how in the heck do you find time to do all your posting??  I want your job! Thanks for keeping things interesting!!

Hi chad23, regarding your question to the waterlift of both machines all depends of what do you want on your set up. If you are planing to run the machine with long hoses (50' or more) you need to be focus in the cfm (cube feet p/minute) so ninja warrior 2 dual 3 stage is an option (forgeret about the heat). Now if you want to use the machine just with 25' of hose so the water lift is more important, in that case you can take a look to any porty with 2/3 stage vaccums in series. One more thing to have in consideration is what kind of tools you are going to use whit your machine (rotovac, rotovac 360, drymaster or spinner for tile and grout). Any of those ones require big solution tanks. Hope this can help you with your choise. Good luck in the bussiness.

Thanks!  I was just planning on starting with a standard 2 jet s-wand....is there a real need for a powerwand for starting up?  Or is that something I should upgrade to once I get some cash flow?

Powerwands are very good tools for residential aplication (ex: roto 360 on very dirty carpets). Comercial is a totally different picture (cimex or any op machine could be the best option). Now in your case if you are going to start with a regular wand I would consider to buy any scrubber floor tipe machine (ex: oreck orbiter 13") to agitate your prespray. You can get the same results than the powerwands but way cheaper. After that and with some cash flow in your pocket you can make an upgrade with a powertool. Good luck.-

The benefit of a powered wand in your situation is that you can help make up for the lack of power in a porty. Also, using equipment unfamiliar to your customers sometimes makes you appear more current.

How do you feel about the rotovac powerwand?

Most of what I know about it comes from posts in this forum. I've played with the Rotovac 360 a little bit. It doesn't feel too solid but seems to do the job. I've considered using it in a second van for handling high-rises instead of purchasing another RX-20. I would need more experience with it before endorsing/buying one though.
