I would offer 8k in cash and in person. When they see you wave the money in front of them... its hard to pass up cold hard CASH. If he says no, leave... and you will be on his mind constantly because he knows... that he can get 8k cash right now! If he calls you back and tries to get more money out of you... you could tell him no, or you could say, " How about I give you 8k cash now and over the next 6 to 12 months I pay you, [what ever price he raised you at that you would be willing to do]. He will take the deal guaranteed.

But I bet you could just hold out and get it for 8k... due to the present times. Good luck!

In case of what.....good question.....well, let's see I don't do much residential cleaning, mostly commercial, and all of my equipment is on place, that means I have alot of everything, floor machines I have maybe 25 or more, burnishers I have 4 and looking for 2 more brand  new ones where the entire pad touches the floor, porty's I have way too many, including walk behinds, etc etc etc..........I might get a customer where I can leave this get up there year round if there is alot of carpet to clean on a regular basis (THAT'S THE IN CASE )
