I just ordered a mytee m5 with a heater-need help with 2 things. I am told that I will be blowing breakers possibly if I run everything. There is a converter that I can plug in to a dryer outlet(guess it steps down 220 to 110). It costs $160-any viable alternatives? I have only found one product but might not be searching correctly. I also drive a truck that is relatively high-my old porty was about 95lbs-not fun to lift in and out. The mytee goes about 160-any suggestions as to an easy, relatively economical way to load and unload besides buying a trailer? Thanks all, have enjoyed and learned a lot reading the forums.

Yes, build a ramp to move it in and out of the truck. Sometimes KK even has one for sale. Check out the used equipment section when you look for one of these or do a google search under "Ramps to see who sells them.

Search for it on EBay.

As for a ramp, check out http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?R=200322235&storeId=6970&productId=200322235&cm_ven=natural&cm_cat=netconcepts&cm_pla=Google&cm_ite=ramp-kit - http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?R=200322235&storeId=6970&productId=200322235&cm_ven=natural&cm_cat=netconcepts&cm_pla=Google&cm_ite=ramp-kit

Thank you for ramp info, that actually looks like one of the better ones I have seen.

Try some lengths of aluminum U channel extrusions from a local fab shop. A set of ~6ft should cost you around $30-40, will be allot lighter, stronger, and take up far less space.

If you hook the handle up over the top of the lip of your bed and then pull up from the bottom and let the handle slide into the rig it it a lot less hassle than messing with a ramp.  Start working out.  If it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger.

Do you have any electrician friends?  They can build you the converter box in about 10 minutes with about $25 in parts.
