I just started my own business with a Mytee portable and a powerwand by Rotovac. I've done a few jobs here and there and can't wait to get some apartment going for the long hall!

If you have any tips for the new guys I'm an open minded person and will listen to what anyone has to say. Just looking for some friends in the industry.

Davey you are already head & shoulders over 95% of most portable carpet cleaners. You doubled your investment in purchasing a Rotovac and that will give you superior, consistent cleaning results. A wise purchase for both quality and ease on your body parts.

Wish you all the best. Clap

P.S.
Use good brand chemicals...you will see many on this site.

Ignore him^.
I suspect he's been snorting the stuff.Confused
Try Prochem or another similar known brand. After all your chemical usage cost are minimal compared to what you charge for your sweat and knowledge. Get some good training. Dont price yourself cheaply.

Just remember one chemical does not clean all??
Don't be fooled by price check dilution ratios
Pay close attention to your own results as you may find what works for other is not working for you.
I used Pro Chem chems for years but also had some other brands in my arsenal as you will learn as time goes by.Guitar

Thx for the support! I do use Prochems Liquid Slurry in my clean water tank. For a prespray I use some stuff called Flex. Its strong (12ph) which is why I use Liquid Slurry. If I have a job that isnt really bad I just use Prochem's high traffic prespray and Liquid Slurry in tank. If I come across some light colored carpet I will spray the carpet with Prochems Fabset before I leave the house to take away any chances of the carpet browning from the high ph that may not be close enough to neutral (7 ph). See! I've been doing my homework. And to think... I only been doing this for about 3 weeks.Jig

BTW... Tide is awsome at cleaning clothes. Not so much carpet, lol. Thx for the tip though. I called Don Jon about some info on Prochems Legend TM. Wish I had one!
