Hi I am a new member and not sure if I am doing this right or not!

I have a question and I hope someone will be able to give me an answer.  I have been recommended to use soduim metabisulphite to try to get rid of a stain ( I think it is wicking actually), but I can only buy potassium metabisulphite locally.  Does anyone know the difference  and should I use the potassium or not?  Obviously I could get the sodium metabisulphite over the net, but I need it very quickly.  Please can someone help me.  Thanks.  Heather

Thanks Ken,

I have not heard of releasit, but will try to source it in Europe.  It is obviously a trade name, do you know what the chemical is?

Thanks

Heather

I think most people will hesitate to give advise on raw chemical usage on this board.

Most Local distributors of cleaning products have a Red Dye removal chemical that will do the trick unless you are in antartica.
