Subject: Looking for Porty Info?
Date Posted: 11/November/2008 at 2:20am
I will be tapping into the Carpet cleaning business part-time within the next few weeks. I'm looking for some information on the Namco Scooter line of portys? I've searched the internet over and over and there's not much info on Namco products. Even on the Namco website there is not much info on their portys to compare to others. Before I call Namco directly, I would like info from pro carpet cleaners? However, I'm leaning toward the Recoil 3 XPS due to reputation. Any information will do? Thanks in advance!

not to take away from the Recoil (I've never used one) but I just received an M-5 portable from Greenglides and this thing blows me away with it's performance at 100 feet

Andy I read your post about your new M5.. You'll see 125ft isnt a sweet spot..  Not with 2-3stage.. You'll run into some carpets and it will leave it soak and wet at 125 even after a few dry passes.. Sure, depending on psi.. Do 400-500psi..  Im talking wet man.. You'll see.. Its just a portable.. Nothing special like you all make it sound.. Just coming from 20yrs of portable use.. Big%20smile

by sweet spot I mean the furthest I'd go

9 times outta 10 I run 50' of 2" hose,,,,,,,,,I'm not going to pretend it's a TM

I DO realize it has wheels for a  reason

I also think it IS special in comparison to most porties

I run 25-50' most of the time when using mine which isnt very often.. Thats the sweet spot and faster drys for portys.. From the pics it does look like a nice little machine.. How much did it cost? I'm asking you here Andy because i dont post on Mikeys forum..

Your right 2" internally would make a diff ..
I run a 2" connect from the waste tank but not inside plum but i added a 3-stage for 3-3 stage.. Maybe I'll gut it out this winter and run 2" plum internally.. Don't use it that often..
