I understand that there are good business opportunities out there in restaurants, hotels, schools, food stores, and even auto dealerships for cleaners to specialise in hard surface cleaning if they have good equipment.  I am thinking a truckmount, and a high pressure spinning type tool with excellent suction.  I think this opens up a whole new chapter to the cleaning business, with little investment for the Pro Carpet Cleaner.

  The more I read about truckmounts, the more I can see the advantages they have for hardfloor care.  There have been quite a few times that I've gotten to a hardfloor job only to find out they have no hot water, or to see that the customer has moved everything in the store into the backroom right in front of the slopsink.

  Just out of curiousity, would a TM be a good tool for removing large quantities of liquid waste (literaly like sewage)?  Can it vac solid objects like discarded silverware, whole potatoes, whole cracked glasses and dinnerware etc?  We service a small local steakhouse chain (vct upfront, quarrytile in the back) and their kitchen floors are literaly covered with this debris- mostly peices of discarded food prep stuff (lettuce leaves, potato slices etc) but also some broken dinner ware etc.  And all of it is stuck to a coat of about an inch of grease across the whole floor. 

  Currently, we simply shovel all of the bigger peices into 50gal trash cans, then hit the floor with a hose that has a fairly high pressure trigger (probably around 200psi) with hotwater to squirt away as much of the grease as possible and the remaining smaller peices of debris.  Then the floor gets hit with degreasing foam, run over with a rotary scrubber, and finally all that remains is sucked up with a wet-dry vac.  That means sucking up stuff from underneath preptable, the front line, the back line and every other fixture.  It is truly time-consuming and labor intensive. 

  The job pays very well and now I am thinking that maybe a truckmount is the answer.   Doing it now with the wet-dry vacs suck, I go through wet-nozzles at a pace of about 1 per week.  The things keep cracking on the grout.
