Anyone have suggestions on cleaning an filthy, greasy auto shop carpet.  I went out once about 5 months ago and the grease was so thick in spots that you couldn't see the carpet fibers.  I threw just about everything at it including citrusolve, degreaser, high ph cleaner.  I also scrubbed by hand and with a rotary scrubber.  It looked better but obviously it's only going to clean to a certain point.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

I went to do this carpet again, explaining that the results will probably be the same as last time (50 or 60 % cleaner) and they didn't care. They just wanted it done. I did the same thing as last time... super high heat, degreaser, a great carpet spotter, a high traffic lane cleaner, and the results were the same.  So I tried something a friend that owns a small supply store I go to recommended called 007 made by Multiclean.  I used it diluted and it didn't do much so I tried it full strength and WOW!!!  Unbelievable results.  Truely like next to new carpet with a little scrubbing and one swipe of the wand.  Just wanted to pass this discovery along. I highly recommend it.  Thanks for the replies.

They want it cleaned (process) not clean (state).

I used Citrapure on a motor oil spill in a UPS store, worked great!

Prespray, Citrapure treat, Cimex, Extract with a pH balancing rinse. Only thing there the next day was a white powder that vacuumed up.

Citrapure comes in powder or liquid, made by MagicwandCompany.com

I heard they are sopping up oil spills with mats made of human hair which naturally attracts oil and repels water.  Makes we wonder about hair bonnets for cleaning oily carpet.  And the bonnets along with the oil in them are bio-degradable.  They use oyster mushrooms to eat both since oil is a decomposed plant, mushrooms love it and are not toxic to humans after consuming the oily hair.

Might be worth a shot for some development company willing to test the theory.

Just thinking out loud.

A hair bonnet would break down, like wool cant handle hard brushing. Hair would be the same. The damage to it would break it apart really fast.
