Did my first official job today.  Everything went smooth.  3 bed/living room/hallway - $74.99.  Felt really good to get the first one under my belt...and I did a great job, if I do say so myself!  Anyway just wanted to share that w/everyone...especially those that have really helped me out.

Question:  Do you guys charge taxes for your service?

Thanks Al!
Just curious...why no sales tax?  When we had our carpets done about a year ago, the company that did it charged taxes.  Is it just preference? Please elaborate/advise...Thanks again- Aaron

Congrats, Aaron!

Did my first official job as a Carpet Cleaner on Oct. 31, 1988. Did my first official job as an owner of a carpet cleaning business on March 1, 2004. Man, time sure does fly. Strive to do a good job, build a good customer base that is happy to refer you, and keep your name in front of your customers and you will do fine!

your going to want to check the local tax laws.  Many states in the US dont have taxes on service fees.  Carpet cleaning being a service does not get taxes added on. Call a local tax accountant they will gladly help you if you tell them you are looking for someone to do your taxes.
