I have a short pile carpet that has a water spill within a section of it
that has not dryed after several weeks. The carpet is continually
water soaked and shows no sign of drying. Otherwise, the carpet
looks fine, it's just wet.

How can the carpet be dryed?

Thanks for any tips.

SEVERAL WEEKS!  Major mold issues could be hidden and be a huge problem. That water has to be coming from somewhere.  Call a pro ASAP.

I believe that in the above case you need a professional consultation regarding water damage of your short pile carpet. There are major mold and mildew concerns that should receive appropriate care.

Obviously, calling in the professionals is a the best way to get quick results... But if you absolutely need to do it yourself, just try and find a home dehumidifier, or dry with fans and towels the old fashioned way... This is much more labor intensive and painstaking, and also does not take care of any underlying problems such as wood warping, carpet damage, and mold.  Call a pro

Stating the obvious...seems you've sprung a leak! Could be very costly if you don't get it sorted asap.
