I am disappointed to see that many of the cleaners and spotters used in the carpet business have no ingredients on the bottle for a reason.  Its not a "trade secret", its because they are dangerous chemicals.  For example one such chemical Im about to give you has several different names for the same thing.  It is dangerous and toxic and attacks the liver and kidneys as well as the upper respiratory system and has been proven to cause cancer. It can kill you over time and you wont even know you were a walking dead person.  The product is:

Butyl Cellosolve.......also known as......
2-Butoxyethanol..............Ethhyleneglycol MonobutyEther.......as well as other names for the same thing.

It can even be found in many household cleaners such as Windex glass cleaner for example.  It enters through the skin or breathing it in.  AngryDeadConfusedOuchCryIt is used as a spotter and gum remover when moderately concentrated, and as a prespray or cleaner diluted down even further.
