Has anyone had the chance to compare the new 17" 1hp HOS to a CCS 17" 3/4hp Commercial breeze or the HOS to a 17" Brute? If so which cleans better? Which is faster? How heavy is the 17" Brute?

I will stand back and let others speak, HOWEVER, often salespeople try to tell you the two machines are comparable, THEY ARE NOT, I don't care if you make the HOS a 3hp, it does NOT have the oscillation of a Commercial breeze, which is OVERPOWERED with its Industrial 3/4 133% duty cycle motor.
HP and Oscillation are not the same, no competitors machines have the highspeed oscillation of CCS machines.

Please speak! I want your information as well as I am sure you have had the chance to compare. My question still stands:

1. Which cleans better? Or are they somewhat equal in that department?

2. Which is faster?

I have seen your chart as to SF with each machine but I did not see the Hruby 17" in that chart. I have heard from a 17" HOS owner that the HOS will clean 600-900 SF easily as shown in your machine comparison chart to the commercial breeze. I believe you make and sell a great machine. I believe that HP may not have much to do with it and just wanted to get opinion from those who have used both.

The 17" commercial breeze can not be beat for residential and small commmercial jobs, the Brute is really JUST FOR COMMERCIAL, it is awkward in the residential setting.

Having an owner that can clean 600-900 square feet an hour with a Hruby is not strange, but put on the same carpet under the SAME conditions you would be hitting right at 840-1230 square feet an hour with a commercial breeze.

I try to use median speeds on that chart, not trying to give best scenarios, but true NORMAL speeds of cleaning.

Thanks for the info. You forgot to answer which will clean better or is that a matter of operater more then machine? It would be great if you had a video of the HRuby vs the CB. I would love to see them both in action side by side.

Anyone else?

Gentlemen;

As a manufacturer, I have seen and witnessed the quality, AND durability of John G's equipment in every detail. And, I can tell you that IT is much different.

As he has stated:

"......I will stand back and let others speak, HOWEVER, often salespeople try to tell you the two machines are comparable, THEY ARE NOT....."

John's equipment has CE Approval as well for European sales. I can tell you that this is very difficult to acquire because everything has to conform to very HIGH STANDARDS.

Yep, take my word for it: IT IS DIFFERENT and much better too!

I will give you and examply SCC, at summerfest the Instigator COULD NOT handle the dirt load, it simply did not have what it took to beat the dirt out of that carpet, the 17" CB did, even given more time, the instigator (same oscillation as Challenger and Hruby) simply could not do the job.

Thanks Ed, and thanks for your HELP concerning the UK market.
