On page H6 of today's Toronto Star newspaper there is an article and section on Allergies & Asthma and alternative treatments.
Interesting, one of the alternative treatments is by and enterprising Toronto carpet cleaner who's charges start at $400.00 for 850 sq. ft. of cleaning.
The cleaning TREATMENT is called Allergy Relief Cleaning.

Nice to see how you guys get relief and create comedy relief along with it.
But, I have come back from Connections all fired up about products to sell that do offer a guarantee on significantly reducing allergen levels in your home or office and it's a treatment to use after cleaning.
Can you see this potential?
How many friends do you know who have at least one family member who suffers from allergies? You can know be the hero in your area and think how the word of mouth advertising will spread.
You will soon be spelling relief with $$$ signs.
Honestly, do you think there is a market for the carpet cleaner here or am I wasting my time and money?
P.S.
Incedently, The Anti-Allergen Cleaner who was mentioned in the Toronto Star paper recently says it's the best thing that has ever happened to his business.
People read and are reacting to his process.

The doctor is the best salesman a carpet or duct cleaner could have. When you go to the doctor he does not always have an instant answer, so he tell you to go home and clean and dust.
Now, if you marketed the doctors and health clinics with an allergy-free cleaning service they would probably recommend you and even allow your business cards and brochures to be displayed in their office.

Marketing Anti-Allergen relief is kinda iffy to me. I mean....If after you clean and their allergies still persist...Then what??
What if their allergies were triggered by the dusts from Underneath the bed, behind the big screen T.V, or dusts from window blinds Ect. ...I would think that the only way to clean it is to move all the funitures out of the way and clean the house from top to bottom....Because if not and they still have allergies after you clean...Then they would think that you lied to them and ripped them off.
Input anyone?

Here is a typical scenario on cleaning a hotel room.
First vacuum with an exterior exhaust or HEPA vacuum. Steam clean all carpets and upholstery with Anti-Allergen Pre-Spray then rinse with Anti-Allergen Detergent, rinse then spray with Allergy Relief Treatment. Wash the walls with the same treatment. Spray the heating and air conditioning filter with Anti-Allergen Filter Enhancer.
Sell them and Anti-Allergen laundry detergent and include the invoice for cleaning.

The guarantee states that if they feel they did not get full value on the Allergen side you refund them on all money less the cleaning. You may be correct in that you may need a more thorough cleaning and what's wrong with that if they are willing to pay and people with allergies will pay or try anything to help relieve their discomfort.

If theyre willing to pay me to move and clean all the funitures,Carpets,The beds, and the walls from top to bottom.....Then I would do it.
But, I think most would rather deal with the allergies than pay for all that. lol

I wonder if their could be a market for carpet cleaners to clean, plus Anti-Allergen hotel rooms. I could see hotels marketing this service to either get more profit or more market share,
I can see this sign now on the Hotel counter. $20 extra for an Allergy Relief treated room.
With the majority of our population getting older and are also the ones who can afford the little extras in life and are more conscious than ever with chemical sensitivity and breathing issues. This just may be an opportunity for both the carpet cleaner and the hotel.

Someone interested in dealing with their allergies must get a full house cleaning including upholstery and drapes. Also change out the furnace filter and if doing duct work that too.
Full house deal: Special allergen removal 60 cents a foot upholstery 60 dollars a lineal foot. Drapery $15 per 7 foot pleat $10 per 4 foot pleat.
Sound good? IF full house special taken then traffic lane cleaning if done in next 6 months from full clean only 40 cents per foot with antiallergenic solutions.....
Sound better.

Surprised to discover there is no real activity in Asthma / Allergy work in Canada or the US
It's been available here for many years and has become a pretty strong marketing tool over the past couple of years.
I'm looking at a "post cleaning" add on which could become the " standard " in Indoor Airborne Allergen Control.
This is my own concept, which surprisingly doesn't exist, although the components and products have been around for a decade.
It's generally felt over here, that cleaning mattresses is almost impossible............not the actual cleaning, but the visual evidence to the client, that something has changed. Do you have products which get rid of the "sweat" and other stains
