All the big companies do it. If Companies or large franchises are doing it , then we should do it. I hate telemarketers, but if it will increase my Gross income im going to do it. Besides I am calling people who have used me before. Not people who have never hired me. I also plan on only calling 2 times a year.

Try to find out there kids birthdays when your cleaning for them. Ive found out that a reminder call a couple of weeks prior to that they are cleaning up the entire house for the company that will be showing up. Besides that tuesday is good.

jtuseo, didnt you buy that cbc-7000 on ebay.. That machine will make 1000 calls a day...

I call my list consistently.. Back in the day i used telephone everyday. Since so many ppl HATE telemarketers we can no longer in the USA use it except for calling Commercial..

Just dont call on the Weekends and Friday isnt so hot either..

I might of mentioned this before back in 84 i managed 15 tech operation. 95% of jobs came from telemarketing.. We had 15 phones calling 8hr a day..

Gross sales were averaging $100,000 per month... OH YEAH!!!!!

Yep I know some guys in Toronto who have 2 or 3 ladies on the phones all day, every day from 8-5.

There are still A LOT of stay at home mom's these days.

It works if you hire the right people.

If you kept track on when you last serviced their carpets you would be able to hit common ground with them instead of just selling to them. "Hey I was looking through my list and see that we serviced your carpets 8 months ago and we recommend cleaning them twice a year. How are they looking? Need them cleaned again?" and if not just leave on a friendly note. This way you're selling from a consultative approach and not like a telemarketer. I've worked as a telemarketer before and IT SUCKS!!! especially the way I was told to sell.

Also, if you called back two weeks or one month after cleaning them it won't be such a shocker when you call again.

So long story short... be a carpet cleaner when calling these people, not a telemarketer and if you've established good rapport with them while cleaning their carpets they should love to hear from you (Most people buy from certain people because they like them).

jtsueo . Get your tele-licence, registration and no call list or you will be fined BIG TIME from your State on residential ... Commercial no problem...

And if some Canadian says you dont need them... HA!! Think again.. I posted that info somewhere on this BB...
