Do most of you train your own employees?  How long do you train them?  Who evalueates them?  I am not talking Certification at this point just on the job training.  Do you have a training manual?  Just a few questions I thought may be of interest.  Do you remember after training it is your name that is the on the end result of all your training, not the employee in the home. After all it was not the employee they called for their cleaning.  Just my opnionGuitar

I think a manual is an excellent idea, and if I'd ever get that far I'd make it a digital manual for a laptop in the van.  In fact, if I ever had a few trucks going around, I'd make almost everything digital.  We were there with the hardfloors a few years ago but my partner woulden't budge on the laptops and we coulden't agree on the manuals.  Thats why I am independent now.  :D

If I'm training...it takes at least six months...and even thats not long enough for one to see everything...when I'm training a new tech it takes a lot of talking...I ask a lot of questions...I answer my own questions...I show...I teach...I inspire....I encourage...then I let you fly...it's a beautiful thing...

Mr. Steamer:  would you say the extra training is necessary with the tms.   I certainly like to think the tech is familuar with the unit campared to training a tech on a portable.  Just my opinion Guitar

Train about cleaning first...... it's months before anyone I'm training touches the wand or the hand tool....   we learn to identify first... we learn to read the customer... we learn how to work the room as I call it...the proper and easy way of moving furniture... I ask a lot of "why did I do that"

I think it's more important to get familiar with the cleaning it self and then worry about the equipment
