1. Cross-American does not say if ths Recoil 3HP is a heated extractor or not. I can't imagine it not being heated but if you could clear that up for me I would appreciate that very much? How hot is the water on a consistant basis while cleaning?
2. Is there an option for auto fill/auto dump? Several years ago I bought a Kleen Rite machine. I think it had an 8 gal. water tank and I was tired of the bucket bragade.
3. How many gallons/min is the output on the carpet? How many gallons in the fresh water tank & waste tank?
4. Cross-American has no dealer locator on their web page. Where can they be found? I in WI.
5. Can you really use 100+ ft of vac hose without much loss of vacuum? Most of my duct cleaning customers have 2 story homes and I really would rather leave the cleaning machine downstairs. I like the idea of the Quadra 4 pack having more vacuum & a 2 in. hose. Is the wand 2 inch too? BTW, what is a Green Glider?
6. Do cleaners with the Recoil have problems with chemical buildup in the pumps? As far as I can tell, the chemicals are in the cleaning solution before the pump. If this is true I guess that would make auto fill a problem.
7. Are the uph & stair tools & wand a good design for the cleaner & are they efficient?

Please take a few minutes to answer as many questions as you can. I don't want to make a mistake with another portable unit. Most of my experience has been with truck mounts as you can tell from many of my questions. I think I am interested in the Quadra 4 Pack.

Frank,

I'm sure that Ed will give you strait answers to all your questions if you phone him.

Meanwhile, if you set out to build the most powerful electric extractor, would you reduce that power by squandering some of the available electricity supply on a heater?

NO - Ed has wisely concentrated on getting maximum airflow and adequate pump pressure. If you require more heat than is available from the customers hot water supply, then you can use an external heater - or you can use one of the modern cleaning products that function well at lower temperatures.

The bonus of not heating the tank water excessively is that the pump runs cooler and lasts longer.
