When you come of age then you can buy a real truckmount?  Oh I forgot you  are installing it into a toy van so I guess that is why you wan a toy truckmount?

no problem dougy! btw. i didnt curse you or whatever it is youre trying to say. i just told you that you sound like a 9 year old that has nothing to say but wants to hear his own voice. Big smile

okay doug, ill give you another chance to answer with something real. what about a used splitfire 3.2 with 2500 hours or one of the above "toy" TMs. what should i do??

thanks

Eric this topic has been kicked around many times. Sometimes one has to be a little blunt to get a point accross. What you save in the beginning will cost you big time in the end.  There is no such thing as entry level. You are either in or out.  I don't know what your needs are, but you want to purchase with the idea of being able to do more than you are presently doing.  Weather residenental, commerical, tile what ever. You can save now and attempt to purchase something that has the potential for multiple applications within this industry.  I can't tell if your HM is a good deal or not because I have been a Pro Chem user since starting 7 units so far.  Erickpensil that is not what you said. 9 year old?  You give me tooooooo much credit.

Doug,

I got to thinking and I dont want to buy another unit anytime soon. I will be taking delivery of a 2002 Ford E250 with a used Spitfire 4.0 (1750hrs) next week. I got a good deal on it and it should be way better than a 12hp prowler or 16hp scout assuming it doesnt break down on me!! Clap

i couldnt really answer that for you. im pretty new to game and the only equipment ive worked with is my Spitfire 4.0 and my Galaxy portable. I do know that i wish i had a bigger waste tank. Mine fills up super fast. the glide on the wand really helps sucking all the water out. i have to dump every job!!

You buy that one and you will be coming here often asking how you should deal with the problems it has. Go to the icsmag.com website and do a search under Panther to find out about these problems.

I have been looking myself for a truckmount ever since buying and returning a Rotovac 3650 with Mytee 1003 dual 3 stage vac porty. Using a friends White Magic Commander has spoiled me, so now everything that isn't as good as that is just playing at the carpet cleaning game.  LOL.

Since I don't have much money like many folks starting out, I have to buy what I can afford now and upgrade later.

Buying what I can now means a oldie but, I hope goodie Avenger 210, with new engine, pump, blower, and little giant propane heat.  I hope the setup gets the job done in a similar fashion as my buddies Commander.

What I'm trying to say is your good as long as you know what your gtting into and have a realistic time set out to use the equipment, then upgrade to better equipment.

Like I know the Avenger 210 is only going to be used for the next 1-2 years, then when the money  is right, I will myself upgrade to a better unit.  So for now the Aveneger 210 is fine.

But if I end up using the Aveneger 210 for like 2-3 years, and it starts giving me problems, I can't go hollering bad equipment.

From what I can tell from my relatively new position is that it is about planned outgrowth.  When outgrow the machine, it will start to "not" do a good job for you.

Good advice from your local cleaning supplier and a good intuition will go along way in choosing the right machine.

What do you mean the scout comes with nothing?

http://www.steam-brite.com/scout.php - http://www.steam-brite.com/scout.php

It comes with everything you'd need to start up, doesn't it?
100 feet of hose, 12 inch wand, Stainless steel solution tank,
What else do you really NEED to start with, I mean really now.

Now, I am geting the Scout from San Antonio/Texas. I am in seattle,wa.

I am having a local place install it. McDowell Supply install it.
Shipping is $300. It has its own gas tank, so I will save money there. I am buying it from Ken Ware, at Steam Brite. I don't know how much to install. I will try to make a deal because I will be buy-ing everything else from McDowell's. The rotovac 360
