Hey I haven"t cleaned a lot of upholstery, so let me know what is happening here & what i did wrong.
I cleaned a sofa & loveseat yesterday & my client phoned back & said it is dirtier than before i cleaned it.
I never checked what kind of material it was because i have never had any problems before.  Just looks like something u would get at the Brick Warehouse or something.
I used one scoop of suspend in a small pump up ( 1.5 litres )
     I used about 300 psi
      Water was about 190
If it is cellulosic browning will fibrerinse reverse it

Check the tags for outer covering contents or do a burn test on a scrap to determine content. Then take it from there. Not likely to brown if it's 100% synthetic. Did you overwet it?

Cmaster

If he used 300Psi..............he more than likely over wet it. Find out how long it took to dry.......that should be your first hint.

Maybe just maybe you put on toooo much prespray and didn't rince it all out. We use the tm all the time and never change the psi.  If you have a good upholstery tool you can do that at the tool. Maybe it was cotton?? As far as portables go I have a US Products  and a Kleen Rite portable hardly ever use them with the tools available today for tms.

If you don't have a http://www.kleenkuip.com/wands_and_hand_tools/stealth_dry_tool.htm - Stealth Dry Tool buy one and it will never happen again.

Sounds like you cleaned it with a stair tool. Wet too deep into the sponge and now has wick-back.

Stair tool are for stairs.

If its browning re-clean it with http://www.kleenkuip.com/products/ccCrystal.htm - Crystal and used the Stealth Upholstery Tool.

puddle proof,

http://www.kleenkuip.com/products/ccCrystal.htm - Crystal Carpet Cleaner is not likely to be found in Saskatchewan. We sell it in Toronto and don't know anywhere else in Canada.

Made by Core products in Texas. Yes, you will probably be able to reverse the situation with http://www.kleenkuip.com/products/chemspec_carpet-specialty-products.htm - Chemspecs Textile Rinse as long as it is browning. If it is a dye run you will have a much larger problem on your hands.

Puddle
Need to know a bit more about the fabric to fully answer.
It could be wick back as sugested, this would depend on whether you prevacced the upholstery or not first. If you have not pre vacced and then over wet it which it looks like then I suggest you go back to reclean once it has dried out.

First fully vacuum then reclean using a low moisture tool and turbo dry.

If the upholstery has any natural fibres ( do a burn test) it may be a case of cell browning. This is usually easily rectified by recleaning ( keep ph under 11) and finishing with an acidic rinse ( ph between 2.5 & 4) to stop any rebrowning.Again use a low moisture hand tool and turbo dry.

Start all over with tm and proper tool, like Prochem expensive tool. Spray with fiber rinse as a pre conditioner, extract with fiber rinse, dry pass, forced air. If unsure if this will work, try boost-all, buff-all, with a post rinse spray and forced air. Next time know what you are cleaning or get another career!

Fast Drying Upholstery Shampoo is the ticket.

Apply on the cleaner areas with a partially wrung out white hand towel and in the heavier dirt areas use a soft bristled brush (what I know as a gong brush).  Go over the wet (damp) furniture with a low cost wet-dry vac.

Put wax paper down on the cushion area of each sofa, loveseat or chair and have cushions forming tee pees or A's.  Air movers speed along the process.

If you are careful in not over applying, and if you are diligent in using the wet-dry vac you can have the upholstery dry or nearly dry before you leave.

Of course, test for color fastness first.
