I have a private school with commercial glue down that had a guy clean with a portable and in one room it left brown stains throughtout, the room had some stains before and the guy used tannin spoter on them but now the whole room has light brown stains.

Does anyone have any idea what the stains would be from?

Thanks in advance

Sound like brown stains could be celulistic browning.

Are the brown stains in the  same area  or in different areas where the tannin spotter was used ?

Would help if I knew what the fibre content was and the backing.

John L Your prob right. But because he has used a porti I would not automatically presume he has over wet it.

Ther could be a number of issues causing this I mentioned cellulostic browning as it is most common but it could also be  precipitation contamination.

More info would be needed.

And just to make it perfectly clear.......

1. Spray stained area with 30 vol hydrogen peroxide.

2. Collect payment.

3. Exit the premises.

4. Go to Timmys and get a coffee.

5. Get me one while you're there.
