GM  vans are by far the best. Maybe cost a little more but give you the best weight distrubution.

The age old pissin match. Ford vs. Chevy. A Ford guy can tell you a million reasons why his truck is better, and a Chevy guy can tell you a million reasons why his is better. More important than brand, is making sure you get the right truck for the job. Make sure it's has the right gross vehicle weight, engine size, rear axle ratio, cooling package, towing package, and etc. You can get either van to work great for you as long as it is spec'd right. Territory means alot. Take a look around at the vans in your ( carpet vans, plumbing vans, electrician vans, refrigeration vans, etc)area. See what is the most popular for work vans, this SOMETIMES, and I repeat SOMETIMES gives you a clue of which dealer in YOUR area, is ordering in the right vehicles. May have good pricing, or maybe has a better repair facility.

I am NOT trying to start a war. I give you this un-bias reply as a mechanic, not a carpet cleaner. I have been a mechanic professionally for over 12 years. I only read this site because I am considering starting a part time cleaning business, and I'm gathering info. on the business.

Don't forget the cube trucks . . .

Speaking of which, does anyone know what kind of equipment the Zero Rez guys are using? Zero Rez is one of the semi-new big boys on the block here in San Diego.

Yes, I do know. Simplicity is the key and there equipment.
Chevy 4500 with PTO driven 6.8 Blower and a Diesel Fired Burner. They are very smart, they also use Electrically charged water that comes out of the wand an 11.5PH without cleaning solutions. When water dries it becomes normal again.
