Red Stain Removal sometimes works as an add-on. There are several
levels of urine treatment. I don't charge for spritzing a little Urine
Stain Remover on a few spots. Premium service pet urine removal (both
odor and stain) can be a very lucrative add-on. Even sceptical
customers can be swayed by the black light of truth!

I don't believe is swaying anyone? That is nothing but a pressure tactic?

Showing someone the filth that is in their carpet is a pressure tactic?
You really don't know enough about my approach to say one way or the
other whether I'm using "pressure tactics." I educate my
customers. I don't try to compel them with fast-talk and alarmism.

Educate?? That term is used alot in the carpet cleaning industry? Are you also an educator? I was just wondering what you background is in order to educate these less fortunate people? Maybe you can share some of it with me? I am still learning myself everyday?

You really add a lot of your own spin on these posts, Doug. I don't
condescend to my customers, as you seem to suggest I do. When I took my
certification course, my instructor, Doug Heifferman, also espoused an
eductional approach to sales. Do you believe that anyone who takes this
approach is condescending, or at least doing it wrong in any case?
What's the right way? Share with us.
To answer your question: Yes, I've been an educator, although not in a textiles field.

I'm fine with differences of opinion, as long as they can be discussed.
What question are you referring to, Nightrider? Where on this thread
did I ask a question that was answered? And where on this thread did I
become irrate at the answer(s) to that question?
One of the basic criteria of an intelligible (not necessarily intelligent)
discussion is simple logic and general good will. I assume that most of
the people in this forum are knowledgable, so I give them the benefit
of the doubt and treat everyone as a peer (some are more knowledgable
and/or experienced and some are less, but I won't be a mincer). I also
assume that most people recognize simple, logical threads of reasoning.
So, I proceed from there, and what do I get in response? Unreasoned,
immature invective meant to . . . . what? Keep a thread alive? Isn't
that the definition of trolling? You're the one who demands wit and
intelligence, Nightrider, so please take me to school on this issue.
Mold me.

Michael, Michael, Michael, You don't need lil ole me to take you to school on issues of carpet cleaning, your mind is already set to tick in rhythm to the knowledge you now possess.
As far as molding you.........people can't be molded .........only brainwashed to another mans way of thinking.
I think you need a good dominatrix to spank you into physical and psychological submission.I think you're the kinda guy who likes to be used and abused, cause you keep trying to challenge me with nonsence.

Yeah, D.H. knows his stuff. He's a real character, too. My partner and
I go back and forth doing Doug imitations. Really good guy, though. I
think I'll target his classes. He's in San Diego all the time.
I'm in San Diego, N. I cater to upwardly mobile neighborhoods, keeping my price a bit lower than Stanely Steemer and Chem-Dry.
On topic . .. did anyone have other suggestions? If not, I'd say it's petered out on its own momentum, Steamer.

Is it a tool that hooks up to the extractor? Or is it a self-contained tool/system?
