Here are a couple of questions from a novice thinking about getting into the carpet cleaning business.

1) I am wondering if someone with quite a bit of experience using different brands of carpet cleaning machines can give me some advice as to which brand seems to give the best value. (longest lasting, minimal repairs, low cost) I have looked at ProChem and Bane so far.

2) What are the pros and cons to electrical vs gas engine driven carpet cleaning machines? Which would you chose?

3) If you had a $12,000 budget to pay for all equipment to get started, would you choose a truck mounted system or portable, or a combo unit that does both?

4) Anybody used the "No Competition" marketing program that is advertised on the Prochem website for $4,000? If so how did it work?I like the idea but is is very costly.

Any other helpful advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Samson

Hi Samson...Don't cut your hair...you'll lose your strength...lol!!!

 You will get quite a few opinions...here's mine...

If you go portable... the Recoil Quad is the best bang for your $$$....very dependable...versatile...won't let ya down and will get the job done considering you are a good cleaner...that's with any unit.....

TM's? .... Can't really say... so many out there... I do have a Freedom Xt-45 and the Recoil-2 modified with an extra high perf. 3stage...that's 3-3stage and it has good cfm/waterlift.....

Why do i say RECOIL??.. you ask... well I have had 3 others and they didn't match the RECOIL's power...Timbucktoo...US products...NSS...and use a ninja for a while...

Goodluck on your new venture....

Thanks a million for those kind words, John L.

BTW, Our SCORPION-3 Super-Charged System which is CE approved and sold overseas in 240v, is exactly what you discribed John! Man, is that ever a powerful system!!!!

Samson,

I have the Recoil 3 HP Quad 4 Pak and it is good equipment! I would recommend it. The Quad 4 Pak consists of the Recoil 3, the external power (vacuum) booster and 150' of vacuum and solution hose. I added the 40 gallon external tanks and hose reels to increase productivity and setup/tear down time. There are a lot of little things you'll want in addition to the equipment listed above but don't go overboard, save a lot for marketing!

You can get the items above for about 4500.00. I would get a 7500 watt generator (900.00), a 13" floor machine (500.00) with pads from CCSOP.com (100.00), a small waterclaw (120.00), a good spotting kit (200.00), a green glide (180.00), a propane heater (900.00) and figure 600.00 for misc items like a grandi-groom rake etc. and spend the remaining 4000.00 on marketing.

Good Luck,

Mac

Thanks TMac, Ed and John I appreciate the comments! One question for Ed - where is the "SCORPION-3 Super-Charged System" on your website? I searched but was not able to find it.

Thanks to John L and TMac.

Samson;

We are currently working on all new web pages. They are currently at our web designer for their review and refinement(s) and are due up in approx. 30-60 days. Therefore, the 240v. SCORPION-3 Super-charged System will not be up till then.

However, it looks very  similar to our RECOIL-3HP System, which features our two jet , 2-bend, ss wand.

Good Fortune to all;

Ed Valentine
