Hi all, Im new to this forum im from Australia (down under) and I could do with a little advice from the profesionals..

I am currently looking at the HHP300 (US PRODUCTS) here in ozi land. And am wondering what this machine is really like, im only getting a biast opinion from dealer trying to sell it to me.

I am worried about the water lift 140" one three stage vac is this ample lift for a portable?

The other machine im looking at is an Australin product the Polivac, it has two two stage vacs, American Amtec motors, which I am assuming has around 150" water lift, from reading up on other vacs with the same two 2 stage vacs.

Is the extra 10" lift a big difference?

The HHP 300 is more compact and easier to transport, though I am worried I will be purchasing an inferior product for more the price. When I say inferior I mean because of the water lift.

As you can tell from my questions I am new to the industry, so honest opinions would be much appreciated.

My personal experience with US Products is.......Not positive. They flat out refused to help me when a local supplier couldn't. Customer service is a HIGH priority for me and they fell flat on their ass. The machine was built like a brick shirthouse with some really dumb design things tossed in. Talk to Ted or Gloria about alternatives.

We at KK are also distributors of U.S. Products along with many others. We would never say anything negative about U.S. Products as they are fine people to deal with.

I am surprised Willy had a problem with them. But we much prefer the Century Ninja. I am sure you can get a 150" water lift and 500 PSI Ninja for a similar price.

And Willy will vouch that you can buy a hyper-box and take it to 260" of water lift.

And 360 CFM- My problem started when I called head office and they wouldn't even offer to help me find some parts as the local distributer wasn't connected with them any more. The machines are well biult, but they gotta put more into customer service. But I'm a demanding bass turd anyway.

Hello Babs.. I've had 4 portables.. Timbucktoo. NSS. Cobra. and Recoil.. Stay away from the 1-3stage and 2-2stage unless you plan on running 25' vac hose all the time...

The cobra heat exchanger went out in 10 months..under warranty so they replaced... but no warranty for the second one which went dead in 3 months...The dist. bought it back for half what i paid for it..This was about 12yrs ago...The NSS was the quietest...The Recoil i still have 6.5yrs now and use and was the best power for the money....

Thanks guys so far theres a few good tips ive picked up on, though remember im in Australia and these machines your all mentioning besides the Ninja & US PRODUCT are not available here.

For me to purchase something from a dealer there would be dificcult and expensive (consider our dollar value & taxs).

I tried contacting the people from dirt invader this machine looked perfect, they replied saying the power out put was to big for Aussie land.

With the US PRODUCT if I purchase this machine I already have to use two power cords on different circuts in the homes.

But a big question I have the 140" water lift on the US PRODUCT HHP 300 is this strong enough lift? Also the Aussie POLIVAC PREDATER MKII this machine I am assuming has 150" lift based on it runs 2 two stage vac motors (American Amtec motors) similar to the NINJA 500

Is the 140" lift enough and does the extra 10" lift make a big difference considering the 150" lift..

Your professional guidance is appreciated.

I've had a HHP300 for about 4 years. It gets used hard so the pump gets rebuilt once a year. It gets flushed out about every 2 months and that is it. I can't cpmplain about anything except once the factory sent the wrong parts and there is no excuse for that. It still runs fine. Lifetime warranty on the tank and heater can't be all bad. I'd buy another.

Hi Mate from down under,

140 to 150" waterlift wont make a big difference. In fact the most important is CFM (cubic feet pr. minute) - this is airflow. The 140" can have better CFM than the 150" - this could for instance be due to thickness of your hose. Often you will see, as with the King Cobra, that its 3 stage vac has a diameter of 7.2 inches. That means it moves more air than a 3 stage with a 5 inch diameter. If you live in the desert part of Aussie land you dont have to worry som much about water lift, as in the steamy tropics - huge difference. One of the best things you can do is to attach a teflon glide to you wand , this will make you portables 140" perform like it had a much higher rating. I have had great luck using Greenglides. I use a king Cobra 500 with 140", 500Psi and instant heat to 212F. See my review earlier on this thread. Good luck !

About U.S products they used to have some quality issues. I have one of their Ultimate II. Probably 10years old - its horrible. But my 1 year old Cobra has performed absolutely flawlessly so far - it seems to be much better quality than the 10 Year old model.
