Subject: Realistic Scenario?

Is this a realistic scenario for a carpet cleaning business in a major market in a middle to upper income part of town? (USA)

50 jobs per month

Average $175.00 per job

Is it relistic?  How much advertising would be required?  What is the best form of advertising you have experienced?  How long would it take a new business to acheive this level?

Any help would be appreciated.

it's realistic enough

takes a couple years to build a good customer base IMO unless you have lots of money for advertising

Got to have the total package....

Money

good cleaning

at least 3 forms of Advertising

you have to look real

you have to sound professional

equipment has to be decent

pricing is totally up to you...

if you want to be high end don't mass advertise

if you want to be mid stream mass advertise

carpetdude as far as the best form of advertising i find yellow pages work very well, (for us anyway). you might consider sending letters to local real estate companies & apt. blds hotels motels etc. you may want to get a web page as well, and a marked van is a must. your van is a rolling billboard... thats a start, hope it helps.
