first commercial call.did i screw it up?

so some guy calls up says he has a 2000sq ft office with some stains that need to be lifted(does he mean cleaned or something special).
holy cow that call was better than crack...very cool.first commercial call.i was calm.told him i charge a per room.but for comm by the sq ft.i also said i use a pre spray that most places charge for.told him it would take a day.
i said .20 to .25 cents a foot.too little?i need the dam job.

i asked if he wanted me to come look at it he said no.just was looking for a price.fine no problem!i was the first place he called.
wow,the first place he called?how did i do that?not many calls period.

so should i call this guy back?tell him i'll beat other prices?to forward?
if i had his address i would send him some cards and flyers.i also forgot to ask how he heard of us.dam it.
any help or advice?thanks.
dam that was coollllllllll.

tell him you will have to see the carpet first...insist on this...know what you are dealing with...if you are uncertain about some stains...tell him some may or may not come out...give him the estimate IN WRITTING...if you don't have an estimate form, use an invoice and write "estimate" in bold letters...show up on time for the estimate and look and act professional...wear a clean uniform (if you don't have uniforms, dress casual...but clean...and have some uniforms made for the future)...if you look and act professional...then he will accept you as a professional...don't worry about getting into a price war with other carpet cleaners...price it so you will make money off of the job...if he's looking for a bargan, then you don't want the job anyway...if he's looking for a good cleaning, then price won't matter that much anyway...remember the first rule in commercial cleaning...NEVER GIVE AN ESTIMATE OVER THE PHONE...

not no, but HELL NO!!!...don't let him know that you are hungry...always stick to your guns...like I said, if he's looking for a bargan, you don't want the job anyway...if he's looking for a good cleaning job, then he will call you over the cheaper bids...and don't tell him you can do the job right away...you can offer to "squeeze" him in in a day or two...if he thinks that you are busy, then he will think that you are good and worth the wait...if he insist on cleaning right away (for your price), then tell him you will need to do some juggling with other jobs and you will get back to him in a few minutes...then hang up and call him back in about 10 minutes with the good news that you rearranged a few jobs so that you can do his...this not only gives him the impression that you are busy...therefore good at what you do...it also makes him feel special and you have one up on him for the "favor" you have done for him...
